Guru Poornima !

The many different powers we see in this world are nothing but different manifestations of God. Among these, Guru is the most glorious manifestation of that supreme self, and so the Guru is known as the very embodiment of supreme Reality :

The greatness of the Guru is described in the Shiva Sutra Vimarshini :

गुरुर्वा पर्मेश्वरी अनुग्रहिका शक्तिः |

The Guru is the Grace bestowing power of supreme Lord.

Which they are the spiritual tools that facilitate the everyday life.  Is a matter of enjoying it outside without being attached.  For that we should focus us in the Divinity that inhabits inside each one of us.

We all are happy on the Birthday of our Beloved Baba.

I was all day thinking of what to post here,to share with all and found at the end of the day (6th May) , our Baba gave the best teachings on how to find the inner beauty and live into this urban world. At the end i found ~

Hence came up with reading old books from my father's shelves...and found a lovely book of Baba-

Baba Muktanand Pramhansa

Love is bhakti, and bhakti means love. The awakening of deep and boundless affection for one’s beloved Guru is love of self, or bhakti( devotion ).Such Devotion is of the highest order and does not depend on formalities such as yogic practices,worship,rituals or study.

When the mind is desireless,when worldly objects do not attract it,when the wish for heavenly happiness and even the desire for salvation vanish, and with full affection the mind is firmly established in the lotus feet of Shri Gurudev, that state of the highest, all exclusive love is known as Bhakti.

Such Bhakti ,such supreme love, is ambrosial in its every essence. To love only Shri Gurudev with all the intensity of the heart is real amrit(nectar). This amrit is the sweetest of all. One who receives and drinks it become immortal. Worldly desire is death.

An unwavering bhakta always longs for the ever fresh and pure love of his Guru. No other desire remains in his heart. He longs only for Shri Gurudev. Such a bhakta will see the divine form of his Gurudev, hear the sweet name of his beloved Guru and utter softly the name “ Shri Gurudev”. Hi s worldly life of give and take is filled with his Guru. In Short, his only longing is for the lotus feet of the Sadguru.

According to Kullarnava Tantra, its been said that “ Guru is Lord and Guru’s Worship is Lord Worship”.

Then what is the need for Lord to come through Guru’s way/form ? What he wants to do, why he dosent comes directly in his form?

He is omnipresent, beyond assumptions, with no  particular form ,characteristics, infinite and immortal. How to worship such Lord.

Hence to bless the human beings , he appears in the form of GURU.

In human form, Guru is exactly the almighty.

Indirectly on earth , moving he is showering his blessings over his disciples.

Often its not easy to explain and talk about Guru because this word has become meaningless.

Almighty is like a powerhouse so If you want to lit our bulb directly, we cannot get current from that powerhouse. When we a need that current, then we need help of a stabilizer which can stabilize direct current to enlighten us so…Guru works like a stabilizer.

Many thousand volt current cannot directly come to us, we hav to take more media to get it…so we need a Guru to enlighten us.

Just by merely reading the shastras, we cannot understand what Guru is. There is a need to be in touch with Guru and the one who is the bhakti with his Guru’s padukas…will hav a divine experience.
