Guru Poornima's Significance

Today is Guru Poornima. What is its significance?

Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu
Guru Devo Maheswarah
Guru Sakshath Parabrahma
Thasmai Sri Gurave Namah.

The Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswara are within us. That is why I often say you are not one, but three(Dattoham..Trinity as Dattatreya symbol). This is the meaning of the three words Bhur, Bhuvah, Suvah in the Gayathri Mantra. Bhur means Bhuloka (earth). The earth is made up of materials. Therefore, the human body, which is also made up of materials, is called Bhuloka. This can also be referred to as materialization. Bhuvaha means life force.(Prana) It is this life force that makes the body move. It is known as vibration. Suvaha means wisdom. This is known as radiation. The Veda declares: Prajnanam Brahma. This Prajnana is nothing but radiation. Human being is a combination of materialization, vibration and radiation. You don't need to search for God outside. Turn your vision inward. There you will find God.

Today is full moon day. The Veda says: Chandrama Manaso Jathaha Chaksho Suryo Ajayatha Mukhadindrascha Agnishcha. Moon is the presiding deity of the mind. That day is Poornima in the true sense of the term, when the mind is filled with pure love. Let your mind shine brilliantly like the moon on a full moon day. This is possible only when you fill your mind with love. Fill your hearts with love. There is no wealth, no Dharma, no meditation greater than love.

Moksha ! ~ Explanation by Baba

Ques )Can the Guru give moksha to all his disiciples in one lifetime?

Baba :

He will do it onne birth or if not this one, the next one.The sadhna you perform in this life accompanies you to the next birth. After Shaktipat initiatio, eve  if you have an expirience of liberation, it dosen't mean you have liberated.

Baba Muktananda

After Recieving shaktipat you must practise sadhana for three,six,nine,twelve or fifteen years in order to reach perfection. If you pass every year without failing at all, it will take a minimum of 14 years and if you happen to flunk one year, it will take you even longer.

Similarly, it takes time to attain perfection. But once you have recieved shaktipat, its influence will not wane or fade away. Even if the shakti becomes dormant again, it will erupt after a certain period of time with much greater force, bringing liberation. Just as one who crams his stoamach full before taking a nap wakes up with a full stomach, one who does sadhana. It wakes up with him. In the next birth he will begin to walk on the path of sadhana at                  once, and obtain liberation very soon.

A Divine Pose of Baba

There are some people whose sadhana may not proceed at a fast pace at first, yet after some time, they are bound to speed up. Once a woman came and stayed here for a while and did not have any experiences on account of her impurities. But when she left Ashram and went back to her country, she wrote that she was beginning to feel that she had received a great deal from me.

Guru Gita is the most importnt of all the Gitas, and to understand it  one needs a great heart. That's why is is difficult to understand it. Your Heart must be large in proportion to tht which you wish to understand. You cannot understand something great with a small heart.
Guru gita makes one the Guru Himself. It's a powerful magnet which draws the power of the Guru to You.

You Tell us to Meditate on our self.I don’t Understand it.

Baba:

Don’t you remember to meditate on your body, on your children and on your family?

In the same way, it should not be so difficult to meditate on the self. Keep Meditating and your meditation will reach the place of self. So many thoughts arise and subside, arise and subside. Try to understand the place from which they arise and into which they subside.

There is a gap between one though and another.Have you ever though about stillness and stability?

Of Course , we don’t take time in our lives to think about it. That is the self. That is GOD. That is the truth. That is self realization .

If you can’t contemplate that place start repeating the name of God.

He is All in All ! ~ Baba Muktananda Says...

For Blessings Of Bhagwan (Bade Baba) , my lovely Shree Gurudev, I was always  overwhelmed.

Anything was not possible without His Blessings.From the time he entered in me in the form of  Prakash(Light), chitishakti, He never left me ,though his physical body is not with us.

For giving me message he came in my meditation,dreams and gave me Divya Darshan. He is having his presence in all animals,plants and Materials.He has taken all the shapes and he is present in you all Completely. When he is all in all…then why should there be another one to be thankful.

Wherever I went He created that place heaven.His love and blessings gave me all the things which I needed for doing my Baba’s work.

Do you know that whatever you have done for me, when I think on this topic then my eyes get full of tears.It is a great view to see Lord has himself taken the form of yours. I say something to you…..: I can live without food and water, I can also live without the daily necessities of life but I cannot live without your love!

That love gives me enough!

Mines Baba has dipped me in the sea of love. As Narad Muni said, Love is a nectar. You gave me love and in return I can Give only love to you.

Is Fear of Guru parallel to Devotion?

                                                          

 
Baba:The fear and respect that you have for the Guru are not only devotion,parabhakti.
Ordinarily people have different kind of fears: is this man going to eat me up?Is he goin to take away all my wealth? What is he going to do with me? These Kinds of fears are not right. But if you have fear and awe of a Guru who is real .who had given you shakti, that is transcedental devotion and that devotion is greatest and highest.

What is Gurubhav ?

Baba:-We Identify ourselves with so many different things in our life. Identifying ourself with Guru and thus filling your heart with love for him that is 'guru Bhav'.
When we love a child and child enters our heart that is child bhava.If we want to Identify ourself with somebody, that person's soul passes us.If you feel anger against someone, you are possessed by anger. The same is true of love for the Guru. If you feel love for him, Guru comes into your heart. That is what Gurubhav is.
